The short version. Brooklyn Integrative Psychological Services is not actively hiring as of September 2026. Positions for pre-licensed clinicians, LMSW and MHC-LP, are expected to open for 2027. The practice keeps a running list of interested clinicians and intended start dates. Clinical staff are fee-for-service W-2 employees; compensation is based on licensure level, clinical experience and tenure, with increases at performance and tenure milestones rather than on an annual review cycle. Pre-licensed clinicians receive weekly individual and group supervision from licensed doctoral-level psychologists and experienced licensed clinical social workers and licensed mental health counselors. Insurance verification, claims, billing, client matching and marketing are handled in-house and to the benefit of the therapist and client. Offices are in Greenpoint, Union Square and Midtown West, with telehealth across New York. To be considered, email your resume and cover letter with interested start date.

Where things stand

We're not hiring today. We'd still like to meet you.

No open roles at the moment — but we're building toward it. We expect to open positions for pre-licensed clinicians (LMSW and MHC-LP) for 2027. If you're interested in joining the team, we encourage you to reach out early. We keep a running list of interested clinicians and intended start dates, and do our best to get in touch when the timing is right.

We also read speculative applications from licensed clinicians and doctoral-level psychologists year-round. A conversation now is often how a role starts.

Compensation

Fee-for-service, W-2 employment.

BIPS operates on a fee-for-service W-2 model. Compensation is based on licensure level, clinical experience, and tenure — with clear pathways for growth. Rates increase at performance and tenure milestones, not on an annual review cycle.

Group therapy facilitators earn a percentage of group revenue. Couples therapy has a separate compensation structure for experienced clinicians. Additional paid opportunities exist for administrative projects such as document editing or content creation.

Bonuses have occurred historically; criteria vary by year and are not guaranteed. Specific compensation details are shared during the interview process in compliance with applicable law.

Not sure a group practice is right for you?

That's a fair question.

Going solo gives you control. A group practice gives you infrastructure. Which one suits you depends on what you actually want your week to look like, and on how much of the business side you want to own.

We wrote something honest about the trade-offs, including the cases where staying solo is the better call.

Why BIPS

More supported than most practices.

A lot of group practices hand you a caseload and wish you luck. BIPS is built differently.

Every clinician here receives more supervision, more clinical education, and more active investment in their specialty than is standard in the field — because we believe the quality of your support directly shapes the quality of your work.

  1. 01

    Doctoral-level supervision, consistently

Supervision at BIPS is substantive and regular — not a checkbox. Pre-licensed clinicians receive both individual and group supervision weekly, provided by licensed doctoral-level psychologists and senior clinicians.

  2. 02

    Active investment in your niche

BIPS doesn't just tolerate specialization — we build around it. Clinicians receive several hours of clinical education per week targeted to their specialty, plus professional development funding to pursue advanced certifications.

  3. 03

    Social justice as clinical orientation

Race, gender, class, sexuality, and systemic context aren't background factors here — they're central to how we understand people and practice therapy. If you want to work in a practice where this is embedded and not performative, this is the place.

  4. 04

Administrative and billing handled for you

We take care of insurance verification, claim submission, billing, client matching, and marketing — so your energy goes entirely toward clinical work, not paperwork.

  5. 05

A pathway to become a supervisor

BIPS has a clear pathway for clinicians who grow into supervisory roles within the practice — supporting your long-term career development, not just your immediate caseload.

  6. 06

Flexible scheduling and genuine work-life integration

We build caseloads with care — matched to your clinical interests, your capacity, and your life. This isn't a high-volume churn model.

Ready to join a practice worth belonging to?

Even with nothing posted, the list is real and we do go back to it. Send a polished resume, a cover letter and a line about what you want to be doing in the medium and/or long-term — we love to strategize! Please include your intended start date.
