People we would send our own families to.
We have to trust who we work with. These are the individual providers and group practices we refer to when someone needs care we don't offer — or care alongside what we do.

These providers are referrals, not employees of BIPS. Please contact each provider directly.
Clinicians we trust
Each of these people is licensed and practicing independently. Reach out to them directly — we are not able to book on your behalf.

Angelo Boccia Cedeño, PhD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (NY)
Psychological evaluation focused on understanding your strengths and building from them. A bilingual, bicultural psychologist offering evaluations in English and Spanish.

Harry M. Voulgarakis, PhD, BCBA-D
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (NY)
Licensed psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst working across psychology, behavior science, education and law. Professor, author and forensic expert, with clinical work in autism, ADHD, learning disorders and complex behavioral conditions, using CBT and ACT.

Stephanie Unwin-Kuruneri, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (NY)
Broad training across adults, adolescents and children in community mental health, with extensive inpatient and outpatient hospital-based psychotherapy experience — and a real ability to connect with a wide range of people.
You know you are in good hands when the recommendation comes from someone you already trust.
Practices we refer to
Psychiatry, medication management and holistic care — the services that sit alongside therapy.

Sydney Shope, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatry — children, teens & adults, NYC
Psychiatric evaluation, medication management and psychotherapy, working with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, work stress and women's mental health. Care begins with a brief phone call, then a full evaluation before any treatment plan is set. Virtual and in-person.

Empire State Psychiatry
Psychiatry across the lifespan, NYC
Psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and Spravato for treatment-resistant depression. Child and adolescent, perinatal and reproductive, geriatric, and veterans' psychiatry, in person and by telehealth. They accept Aetna and Northwell Direct, as we do, along with Healthfirst, Medicare and others.

Brooklyn MindBody Collective
Holistic health — Greenpoint
Acupuncture and herbal medicine, massage, Rolfing, ScarWork, Thai bodywork, private yoga and physiyoga, plus somatic experiencing, somatic psychotherapy and anxiety coaching. Useful for clients whose stress, trauma or tension is showing up in the body. They are at 117 Dobbin Street — the same building as our Greenpoint office — and offer a sliding scale.

If you have a client who needs something you don't offer, or you would like to be considered for this network, our practice manager is the person to talk to. She handles referrals in and out of the practice and will tell you plainly whether we are a fit.

Whole-Person Care Coordination
A 60-day program with a real human coordinator — not an app — working alongside your therapist. They assemble your full health team, make the referral calls, and track your care plan so nothing falls through the cracks. You don't have to be a BIPS therapy client to use it.
Not sure who you need?
Tell our intake team what is going on and they will point you somewhere useful — here or elsewhere.
