Zach is a licensed clinical psychologist and one of the clinical supervisors at BIPS. He designs and runs the practice's core clinical education program — the weekly group supervision and weekly didactics that early-career clinicians here move through as they build toward licensure.
He also leads Special Topics, a seminar in psychodynamic practice for experienced clinicians that takes up a single clinical subject in depth each cycle — transference, rupture and repair, money, power, listening. Sessions are frequently open to therapists outside the practice.
Zach completed his PhD at LIU Brooklyn and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Karen Horney Clinic. He is also an adjunct professor at Baruch College.
