Gabin works with clients on anxiety, depression & grief, PTSD, trauma, complex family & relationship dynamics, and identity exploration.
I am a Korean- and English-speaking therapist who recognizes how the languages and cultures we are part of shape our lived experiences.
Major life transitions, trauma, relationships, familial expectations, and questions about identity and belonging can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. I work with clients who want to better understand their authentic selves, heal from painful experiences, work through shame, improve their emotional regulation, and develop more fulfilling relationships with themselves and other people. As we work together, I want to understand your unique journey.
My therapeutic practice utilizes a trauma-informed and psychodynamic approach. Sessions will be a space of curiosity, compassion, and nonjudgment. I believe in the importance of establishing a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, heard, understood, and safe sharing your story.
I have experience supporting intimate violence survivors to process their experiences of abuse, develop coping strategies, and feel empowered. I also have experience supporting clients navigating academic stress, complex interpersonal and family dynamics, intergenerational trauma, and issues around intimacy.
I believe that many aspects shape our lives. These factors include our individual experiences as well as our interactions and relationships with family, friends, partners, communities, cultures, and broader societal systems. Together, we can work to understand how your relationships impact your well-being and ability to cultivate personal growth.
