Sydney Brower, LMSW
My therapeutic approach is grounded in the interconnectedness between mind, body, and behavior. I practice first and foremost upholding the knowledge and understanding that all people possess the intrinsic ability to heal themselves, and my role is to support individuals through this process. I utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, and appreciate the benefit of integrating traditional psychotherapeutic modalities with less traditional methods, some of which are rooted in the intersection of clinical psychology and spirituality.
I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, and obsessive/ compulsive thinking and/ or behaviors. I help clients work through the impact these issues can have on their interpersonal relationships, career, social life, motivation, and sense of self. Additionally, I work with individuals as well as couples, experiencing dating, relationship, and intimacy issues who may be feeling discouraged or stuck in maladaptive relational patterns. I am trained in EFT (emotionally focused therapy), ERP (exposure and response prevention therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical , and EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing therapy).
Whether you’re new to therapy, or looking to continue your therapeutic journey, I look forward to creating and holding space as we work toward reaching your goals, whatever they may be. No matter where you are on your path, I’m here to support you in cultivating the inner and outer world you seek.
