Fees & Insurance

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to understand fees, insurance, and next steps while already feeling stressed. This page is designed to give you clear, honest information so you can move forward with confidence.

Using Insurance

If you plan to use insurance, we’ll help you understand your benefits before you begin.

Once you register, our real human administrative team will:

  • Verify whether your sessions are partially or fully covered

  • Confirm anticipated copays, deductibles, or out-of-network benefits

  • Submit and handle insurance claims on your behalf

New York clients:
Some clinicians accept Aetna and Northwell Direct. All other services are considered out-of-network.

Massachusetts and Oregon clients:
Some clinicians accept Aetna and BCBS, and some regional plans. Contact us to check!

Please note: Insurance coverage and telehealth policies continue to evolve. While we make every effort to verify benefits accurately, final coverage determinations are made by your insurance provider and may change over time. Please remember to obtain reference numbers for all calls.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE (NO SURPRISES ACT)

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133), clients who are uninsured or not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) outlining expected costs for services.

The estimate:

  • Reflects costs reasonably expected at the time it’s created

  • Includes applicable related services when required

  • Is not a commitment to treatment

If your final bill is $400 or more than your estimate, you have the right to dispute it.

If Charges Are Higher Than Expected

You may:

  • Request a corrected bill

  • Ask about financial assistance

  • Initiate a dispute with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS)

  • Dispute fee: $25

  • Deadline: within 120 days of receiving the bill

More information is available at cms.gov/nosurprises or by calling 800-985-3059.

We comply fully with this mandate and appreciate your patience as we prepare your estimate.

Her depth of knowledge, clear communication, and willingness to collaborate made a significant impact. She provided insightful recommendations and demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in her field. A fantastic resource and an exceptional peer—highly recommend!

I have been seeing Shoshanna for two years now for EMDR. She is awesome! She has really helped me work through some past trauma and helped me establish myself as my own internal guide. I highly recommend her!
