Chris Black, MHC-LP

Amidst the chaos of modern living, making sense of ourselves often becomes lost in the shuffle. What’s going on in my head? Why can’t I move past what happened? Who am I? Life’s demands can leave us with little bandwidth to seek answers, and these questions loom large; in their cast shadows, we begin to feel anxious, depressed, lost and without hope. If you are reading this, however, part of you that is courageous is making a demand of its own: “I want to feel differently.” I implore you to heed that call, and cordially invite you to step into my office.

My approach is predicated on empathy and exploration: you can expect to feel both safe and seen, even as we brush up against uncomfortable, or previously unknown material. Just because this work is hard, doesn't mean it can't also be fun; I maintain a stance of curious wonder and respectful playfulness in session, and encourage my clients to do the same.

Perhaps you've attempted short-term therapy or self-help measures before...maybe it even helped, for a time. True and lasting change, however, is facilitated by enduring accountability, depth of understanding, and reconciliation. If you are ready to take a chance on yourself and get in touch with your living spirit, you have come to exactly the right place.
