Lida Rubanava, LMSW (NY), CSW-A (OR)
Hi, I’m Lida (they/them/any), a queer, non-binary, neurodivergent therapist who specializes in working with people who live in the in-between and anyone who’s ever felt like they’ve had to carry it all on their own. I'm especially passionate about working with artists and entertainment industry professionals. I hold a master’s in social work from NYU and bring years of experience supporting clients through grief, identity exploration, relationship challenges, complex trauma, and the tender work of reconnecting with themselves and community.
Sessions with me are both reflective and directive. I work best with individuals who seek to be challenged, appreciate nuance, and are eager to uncover deeper truths. I bring humor and irreverence to any topic, often building a strong rapport with my clients. Passionate about learning and knowledge sharing, I am always happy to provide resources such as books, podcasts, worksheets, and activities.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in deep respect for your culture and lived experience. We'll explore ideas from multiple angles, untangling patterns and uncovering possibilities that may have once felt out of reach. I view therapy as a collaborative process, where your feedback is essential. As someone who has navigated intersecting identities, cultural dislocation, and the pressure to “keep it all together,” I know the strength it takes to seek help and how much relief there can be in not doing it all alone. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you; it’s about creating space to be more fully yourself.
